Non-binary trombonist, composer, bandleader, festival director and creative producer. Originally from Bunganditj/Mount Gambier in South Australia, they graduated with a Bachelor in Jazz Performance, from the Elder Conservatory (Adelaide) and toured extensively across Europe, Japan and India. Since setting in Nipaluna (Hobart) in 2016 they work as the co-founder and artistic director of the Lutruwita Art Orchestra and as the co-artistic director of the Clarence Jazz Festival (lutruwita/Tasmania’s biggest jazz festival) and write and conduct music for projects and major festivals across the island of lutruwita/Tasmania. In 2025 they were honored to receive the APRA AMCOS Art Music Tasmanian Luminary Award. Stevie regularly sits on peer assessment panels for state and national arts funding bodies and is a regular volunteer presenter of ABC Radio Hobart’s weekly ‘Wide World of Arts’.
