About the Regional & Remote Music Summit

In July 2025, 250+ Australian music leaders gathered on Bundjalung Country, Byron Bay, for the second national Regional and Remote Music Summit.

An inspiring program of talks, panels and presentations on strengthening regional music ecosystems provided a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration and the development of new regional and national networks.

The 2025 Summit was hosted by MusicNSW and supported by Music Australia and Sound NSW.

The Regional and Remote Music Summit was first held on Larrakia Country, Darwin in August 2024, hosted by MusicNT.

The 2026 Summit will be hosted by MusicSA and take place in Mount Gambier on the Limestone Coast, supported by Music Australia and the Government of South Australia through the Music Development Office.
