Sophie is an artist, mentor, music teacher and Regional Manager & Coordinator for MusicNSW, working across the Central West, Outback and West Darling regions. In her role a regional manager and coordinator, she supports artists and communities to grow skills, confidence and connection. In duo Smith & Jones, Sophie has toured extensively over the last 12 years and released three albums. She grew up in Tamworth before moving to Bathurst to study Communications (Theatre/Media), where she built her music community and has lived now for 16 years. She has contributed to regional music through touring with Smith & Jones, running choirs and workshops, teaching music, and managing events including The End Festival and the Local Emerging Artists Program (as part of the Inland Sea of Sound Festival). She is based on Wiradjuri country.
