Letisha Ackland is a proud Kokatha, Wirangu and Mirning woman and the Founder and Director of Balya Productions, an Aboriginal-owned live music and events production company creating pathways for First Nations people in technical production, touring and event management. With more than 18 years’ experience across Australia’s live music industry, Letisha has worked on some of the nation’s largest festivals, tours and cultural events while championing culturally safe, sustainable workforce development.

A nationally recognised leader, she is the recipient of the 2026 Creative Australia First Nations Arts & Culture Business Innovation Award, the 2025 Australian Women in Music Award for Live Production Touring, and the 2024 NAIDOC SA Person of the Year. Through Balya Productions, Letisha is committed to strengthening regional and remote music communities by creating meaningful employment opportunities, mentoring emerging First Nations professionals, and building a more diverse, skilled and inclusive live music industry for future generations.
