Roz Pappalardo has spent over two decades transforming entertainment venues and festivals into thriving cultural hubs across Australia. Her career spans leadership roles at Darwin Entertainment Centre, MONA and the Museum’s Summer festival MONA FOMA, Cairns Regional Council, and now Manager, Entertainment Venues and the iconic Tamworth Country Music Festival program, alongside an extensive career as a songwriter, touring musician, and theatre creator.
Roz’s expertise in producing large-scale cultural events and festivals is unparalleled. She successfully expanded Cairns Festival, growing its audience from 65,000 to 140,000 during her tenure. At Darwin Entertainment Centre, she redefined the venue’s artistic vision, transitioning it into a dynamic cultural destination and launched the inaugural Darwin Comedy Festival. Her tenure at MONA in Hobart saw her managing high-profile international arts commissions, music residencies and cultural interventions.
Beyond her venue leadership, Roz is a highly accomplished musician, songwriter, and theatre maker, having toured extensively across Australia and internationally with acts such as women in docs, Lontano, and her own solo projects.
