The 2026 Regional & Remote Music Summit will take place in Mount Gambier(Berrin Country) from 28 – 30 October 2026, hosted by MusicSA.
MusicSA today confirmed that the 2026 Regional & Remote Music Summit will take place from 28–30 October, 2026 in Mount Gambier, South Australia.
The 2026 national Summit is managed and delivered by MusicSA and will continue its mission to champion regional creativity, strengthen touring networks and amplify the voices of artists and music workers living and creating outside metropolitan centres.
MusicSA CEO Christine Schloithe said the October event will allow the Summit to build stronger national momentum.

Proudly supported by the Government of South Australia through the Music Development Office and the Australian Government through Music Australia, the 2026 Summit will bring together artists, industry professionals, policymakers, researchers and community leaders for three days of vital conversation, collaboration and live performance.
South Australian Minister for Arts, Andrea Michaels MP said;
“It’s fantastic to announce the dates for this year’s Regional and Remote Music Conference in Mount Gambier. We want South Australia to be home to a thriving music culture and Mount Gambier is the perfect place to host the Regional and Remote Music Conference. This event will help build upon the previous support and investment the Malinauskas Government has made to support local artists on the Limestone Coast and bring together musicians and industry professionals for important conversations about how we can best champion regional music right across the country.”
Mount Gambier’s selection as South Australia’s regional host city recognises years of strategic investment in regional music development. Through initiatives supporting live music venues, touring pathways and artist development, MusicSA has worked closely with local stakeholders and partners to position the city as a critical connector between South Australia and Victoria’s touring destinations.
