Nur is a passionate advocate for local music and youth development. She began her career after completing a Music Business Diploma and an internship with WAM’s regional team in 2021. Starting out organising backyard charity gigs and band launches, she went on to start up Chop Street Music, a Mandurah-based business that delivers workshops, programs and all-ages events to support emerging artists. She works closely with local youth centres, where she’s dedicated to creating accessible and meaningful opportunities for young people to experience live music, develop skills and build pathways into the music industry. Outside of Chop Street, Nur is also the Regional Programs and Major Events Coordinator at WAM where she leads WA Music Week and the WAMs annual Regional Gathering.
