As inaugural Director of Music Australia, Millie is charged with standing up and leading the dedicated new body within Creative Australia, that was announced in 2023 as an initiative of the National Cultural Policy – to support and invest in the Australian contemporary music industry.

Millie started her career as venue booker for Macquarie University followed by iconic live music venues – the Annandale and the Hopetoun Hotels. She spent a decade working in artist management and has also held executive positions with the Association of Artists Managers and as Creative Director for MusicNSW.

As Executive Producer for Sounds Australia for almost fifteen years, Millie was instrumental in the establishment and growth of the national export initiative, overseeing the presentation of over 2200 Australian artists on global showcase stages since 2009, covering 86 different international events, in 75 cities, across 26 countries.

Millie has held Board positions with Support Act, MusicNSW, FBi Radio, the Australasian Association of Campus Activities (AACA) and Arts Training NSW and was an Australian judge for Eurovision in 2018 and 2020.
