KIZ is a proud Palawa artist, creative producer, curator and founder from Lutruwita/Trouwerner, working across music, culture, youth development and the wider creative industries.
As the founder of Seventhree, KIZ has built a grassroots creative platform supporting artists across Lutruwita/Trouwerner through live events, artist development, bookings, media and community initiatives. His work is driven by a simple belief: you shouldn’t have to leave home to build a meaningful creative career.
Alongside his work as an artist, KIZ is the creator of You’re Write, a youth hip-hop and creative writing program giving young people space to develop their voice, tell their stories and build confidence through music and writing. He is also a workshop facilitator with The Push, supporting young people to develop their creative skills and pathways in music.
KIZ is the Programmer and Curator of The Gathering, Dark Mofo’s First Nations opening night, and works with Music Tasmania delivering Aboriginal youth programs. He is also a member of the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation’s Youth Advisory Group, contributing to conversations about the issues, opportunities and future facing young people in Australia.
Nationally, KIZ sits on ARIA’s Hip Hop & R&B Advisory Group, contributing to conversations around representation, opportunities and the future of the genre in Australia.
Whether he’s on stage, in a workshop, programming a festival or building opportunities behind the scenes, KIZ is focused on creating stronger pathways for artists and young people — while showing what’s possible when creative communities are built from home.
