A true “journeyman” in Australian music, Ben Lee has done it all: from writing hits and anthems and winning ARIAs for songs like Catch My Disease and We’re All in this Together, to running his independent company Weirder Together with his wife Ione Skye, where they release music by upcoming Aussie artists like FVNERAL, Rainbow Sally, DeepFaith and McDermott & North.

Along the way, Ben has built a strong regional touring business, playing roughly 100 shows a year around the country. Always open to new creative projects, Ben currently has an animated kids musical TV show in development with a major network.

Keeping time to mentor young left-of-centre artists who hope to follow his career path navigating through the mainstream and independent worlds, through it all, Ben has never stopped his own creative adventures, like celebrating the 20th anniversary of his “Awake Is the New Sleep” later this year. As he once sang about his life, it may be “confusing…but it never gets dull”.
