Associate Professor Shane Homan is Head of the School of Media, Film and Journalism at Monash University.

Shane is currently leading an Australian Research Council project, Community Music Radio: Building the Music-Media Ecosystem (2023-2025) examining the cultural and economic value of community music radio to the Australian cultural economy.

He is the editor of the Bloomsbury Handbook of Popular Music Policy (2022) and co-author of Music City Melbourne: Urban Culture, History and Policy (Bloomsbury, 2021).
